Easter Baskets

In Pre-K, students practiced tracing, cutting, drawing lines and gluing by creating Easter baskets.

First, they traced and cut the basket shape and eggs on different  colored paper. Then they decorated each egg with straight,, zig-zag, and curvy lines. They added some criss-cross lines to the basket. Last, they glued it altogether and added some details.

Practicing Easter egg designs

In art Prekinder A students practiced Easter egg design on paper. They observed different types of patterns using lines and shapes that other Easter eggs have, and created their own, using color to decorate their names in the middle.

Paper-tube Spring flowers

Pre-K and Kindergartners welcomed spring with the beautiful flower watercolors inspired by American artist Georgia O'Keeffe

First, they dipped paper tubes into pink paint and made 3 flowers with 5 petals each. They dipped a bottle cap in yellow paint for the inside of the flower. Then, they painted inside of the circles they created, using white, pink and yellow paint. They painted green stems and leaves, then used aqua watercolor to fill in the sky.
