Paper-tube Spring flowers

Pre-K and Kindergartners welcomed spring with the beautiful flower watercolors inspired by American artist Georgia O'Keeffe

First, they dipped paper tubes into pink paint and made 3 flowers with 5 petals each. They dipped a bottle cap in yellow paint for the inside of the flower. Then, they painted inside of the circles they created, using white, pink and yellow paint. They painted green stems and leaves, then used aqua watercolor to fill in the sky.

Kinder Lions

Kindergartners are currently learning about mammals in class, so we made the fiercest mammal of all in art - a lion. They have really become experts with the scissors, they cut out the lion's head, ears and mane. Then they glues it altogether using an A-B pattern to alternate brown and yellow. They used marker to add some finishing touches.

We can count to 100 by TENS!!!

We practiced counting by tens in many different ways.

Sorting beads, beans and toothpicks into egg cartons helped us to count by tens.

We practiced counting by tens outloud and writing them down too!

We are really proud of our counting skills!

Working in groups we sorted and countted by tens to 100!

We were able to see just what 100 objects really looks like!
